The Davidson family has moved to Earth after years of research contracts on remote planets. Running a farm operation seems like child's play after all they've been through and they hope to start their family. But life interferes once more. Jet Killarney, the man who stranded Mikayla on the ice planet where Matt Davidson first met and rescued her, is out on bond awaiting a new trial. All the recorded testimony from Mikayla and her friend Tracey has disappeared and if Jet disposes of the two women, the only witnesses to his human trafficking, he'll go free. Tracey's three husbands and Mikayla's eight husbands gather together on the Davidson farm to protect their wives.

This is the final book in the six-novella "A Bride for Eight Brothers" series. In typical Abby Blake fashion, the characters are all clearly defined from their personalities to their lovemaking. In this final chapter of the "read-in-order" series, we get to know each of Mikayla's men even more. While the series has always been about the sex and the multiple partner ménage relationship between the nine main characters, the story has been real and solid with plenty of action. In this installment, the personalities of the men come in full force. Each husband with the right training and background moves to the forefront to protect the women while the others fill in their personal niche in whatever way fits them best. The plot is well thought out and executed.

I normally don't like drawn-out, must-read-in-order series. I prefer a long novel versus waiting for weeks or longer and hoping you remember to look for the next chapter in the series. But Abby Blake did a great job of hooking me in the first book and I couldn't wait to read the next installment. I wholeheartedly recommend this series as well as Abby Blake's other books and series. Enjoy!
