Josh MacKay always has good instincts. As an ex-marine that fought for his country, he disappeared while in government custody. He also worked for the ‘Agency,’ and giving the agency any information didn’t fit into Josh’s plan. All he wants to do is survive and hide out to avoid the world. An assignment sends Josh to capture Minder, someone who has the psychic ability to control and destroy. He encounters Kiran, Kir, Brunner, and they form an attraction for the other. Brad Carlisle taunts Josh and puts the idea in his head to exterminate Kir. Josh goes cold at the thought of killing Kir. He has done everything that Brad has asked, but he refuses to harm Kir. The only way to keep Kir safe is for Josh to stay in exclusion. Kiran Brunner, a Minder, is hunted by many and that keeps him on the run, especially from the Agency that mistreated him. He cares deeply for Josh but when he finds verification that Josh is dead; he refuses to believe the facts and sets out to learn the truth. As Josh tries to avoid the games of Brad, while staying in seclusion from Kir, things begin to escalate and the path for Kir and Josh, to be reunited, seems to become more intense for Kir who will stop at nothing to unlock the truth and find the one that he truly loves as they unite to destroy those that cause them harm.

Minder is a get-go spinning read from the start. Not only is it ingenious but it is an extremely action-packed tale. I only wish I had read the other books before this one, but still this one kept me captivated. Joely Skye gives the reader impressible characters that are not easy to forget. She gives thought to the contents while giving vulnerability and strength to her characters making them real. I was impressed with the emotions that Josh and Kir exhibited in this intriguing read. The secondary characters are well developed as well. I look forward to reading more installments.
