With only one thing left to do, he interviews for nannies, and when Virginia calls for the job, his son, Jacob, immediately connects with her. Mark is faced with new alterations each day and must deal with more changes in the future with his new son. Virginia instantly falls in love with little Jacob and begins making modifications in her life. The betrayal of the past still haunts her as she tries to push it aside. Can she and Mark discover what they really want in life before it is too late? Mine for Keeps is a page-turner. The characters were very likeable and little Jacob is such a sweetheart. The story is quite believable as well as the situation most realistic. I enjoyed how Mark thought he was a playboy but had to suddenly transfer overnight with the announcement of Jacob. Virginia and Mark are attracted to each other but she has issues with past betrayals that she must erase from her memory so she can take a chance again. Virginia and Mark have their hands full as they battle with their inner consciences. Sara Fitzgerald has written an enchanting romance with great emotion that will thrill the reader.
