Cole Gunnersson is the lead singer of the wildly popular band Stolen Innocence and he is also Vampyre. He is determined to keep the band at the top and needs a lyricist to help them write hit songs. Alexandra Sinclair was once just such a writer, but a horrible experience at the hands of the last band she worked with made her leave the music industry completely. She now writes a newspaper column and is content until Cole contacts her to write for his band. At the same time Cole is helping the enforcers of his kind find a Rogue who is killing women in the area. All of the women are either 22 or 33, most are blonde, and all have a connection with the music business. Alex is 33 and a writer, she is also blonde, will she be next. The killer seems to be obsessed with Cole, so it is likely.

Although this is not the first vampire rock band featured in a story that I have read, this is by far the best. Cole, the former Viking turned rock star, is an irresistibly appealing character. He is noble and protective and drop dead sexy. Alex is equally appealing with her bravery in overcoming a terrible childhood and an even more terrible experience with her former band. The two are absolutely made for each other and not just because of Alex’s tattoo. Stolen Innocence and their lifestyle are pretty fascinating and I wanted to know more about Styxx the drummer. The story is riveting and everything I love in a vampire romance. It has an exciting plot with lots of twists and turns, a sexy alpha hero, a brave heroine who does not take any nonsense, hot love scenes, and vividly written characters other than the two main ones. The subplot of the Rogue and his evil plans is gripping and had me at the edge of my seat. Several times I thought I knew who he was only to be completely surprised at the end. This story is impossible to put down and I hated to see it end.
