| Hardin has just finished with Miss November, but the girl fancies herself in love with him. But he just sees himself as her mentor, and nothing more. His next assignment is the one that will be difficult. Miss December is an oddity in their world, with qualities that slipped through the cracks at Uterine Labs from whence all children are created. But those very qualities, those tiny imperfections, are what make her so beautiful and sensuous to Hardin.
Kansas wakes up in a strange room with a strange man. According to him, she's fertile and the government plans on allowing her to choose a mate from the few fertile males...which means she needs to crave sex, something that hasn't been a part of their society for a very long time. And Hardin will be her instructor. Ms. Hayes has become one of my favorite authors, and she seems to use slightly different styles and focuses. With Miss December, the focus was definitely on the erotic elements in the story. I loved the fact that Hardin was a highly sexual hero, enjoying every aspect of sex. It just seemed to enhance his masculinity and his appeal. But he wasn't just a libido. There was something sad about Kansas and Hardin's situation, something touching. I didn't get to know everything about their history, their personalities, but I got to know them well enough to be drawn completely into their story and to really want an HEA. But this was still a largely sex-focused book, and that's probably why I enjoyed it so much. The erotic passion in Miss December was irresistible, and I couldn't suggest reading it anywhere but at one's home. In fact, after reading so many erotic romances, I've noticed that what I think is just hot, and what I think is toe-curling erotic, have changed. Miss December stands in the latter category.
