| Mack Walker and his buddies were soldiers during the Vietnam War era. Killed in battle he was brought back to life by the Toymaker and turned into an action figure. Now he's been badly wounded again and the Toymaker has another mission for him. Maybe his toughest yet. Adrian and his friends own a comic shop where they also repair toys. Imagine Adrian's surprise when the toy he repairs talks to him then comes to life.
Mary Winter has built an excellent love story between a man who's more comfortable with numbers than people and a toy who's being rewarded for his years of faithful service. These two make a great couple as Mack helps Adrian learn about the joys life can hold. Betrayed by a former lover, Adrian has a hard time learning to trust. The character of each men is well crafted as a perfect match for one another. Mack has learned life the hard way. His self confidence has come from battle after battle knowing he has the strength and intelligence to win. Adrian needs someone like him and Mack is the perfect man for this mission. This is an easily read, well-told tale of men finding their perfect match.
