| Faith Jenkins despised Christmas. She had extra trouble with it because she worked at Ricardo's, a ritzy department store in Portland. Her previous boyfriend, Henry Linden, had dumped her last Christmas—the next day after she told him she was pregnant. She never got over it or him, especially after losing the child. She purchased a house. She worked and seldom socialized. Until her next-door neighbour decided she was the woman for him.
Jeremy Kitteridge had pursued his neighbour for a long time. The more she brushed him off, the more intense his chase became. He conned her into attending a party with him where he was “playing” Santa. When she called and begged him to come to Ricardo's as Santa, he recognized his chance with her. He thought it might be working, until she left.... Ms. Rebecca Goings has once again written an emotionally challenging book about two characters that were direct opposites. They were different in their upbringing as well as their outlook of Christmas. Goings developed her characters well. They were not only the main characters, but almost the only ones significant at all. This seemed to me to be even harder than having a myriad of cast. The storyline must be dynamic and fast-paced to keep my interest. She certainly achieved that. I love to read Goings' books. She stimulates my mind, keeps action moving well, and always surprises me. This was no exception. I recommend the book to almost every reader. The sensuality was well written and not overly detailed. I highly recommend this book. It is a great way to learn the way God intervenes and interacts in romance.
