| MISTLETOE MAGIC, three amazing stories of lost faith, snowy mountains and the quiet magic of the Christmas season by Phyllis Campbell, Rebecca Goings, and Liz Hunter.
UNDERNEATH THE MISTLETOE by Rebecca Goings Jeremy Kitteridge refuses to take no for an answer, especially when it comes to a beautiful woman. When he moves next door to Faith he is infatuated with her. She is a complete mystery, one that he wishes to crack. She has been hurt by someone and he’s determined to break through that armor and show her happiness again, even if he has to kidnap her and take her away for a bit of Christmas joy. Faith Jenkins has a weakness when it comes to a handsome man with dimples. She does not like Christmas and of all things her next door neighbor, Jeremy, has asked her to a Christmas party. Her ex-boyfriend dumped her a year ago after the big day. But every time she is around Jeremy, her body oozes in warmth. Is he the one man that can mend her broken heart? UNDERNEATH THE MISTLETOE is an enjoyable read. I loved Jeremy’s determination to go after what he wanted in life. Faith is a strong woman that still holds to a wounded past by barricading her feelings against any man yet desires to release that pain for Jeremy’s love. It’s a battle with her conscience as her heart keeps steering her to the right choice. The added mistletoe and warm sensual scenes were truly an extra romantic touch. The chemistry between Faith and Jeremy is a slow sensual dance that gets better with every turn of the page. The banter between the two made this story smooth flowing while completely holding the readers attention. Ms. Goings delights the reader in this charming story that touches the heart. She has created a remarkable affectionate gift for the holiday season. This story does not disappoint.
BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE by Liz Hunter Betsy Hardcastle lives with a past that she wishes to forget. Every time she gets close to someone she loses them, and it only makes it harder on her the next time to love. When she meets her next door neighbor and his little boy, can she forget her troubled past and start a new life with two people who begin to warm her heart or will the threat of losing them, too, put a damper on her dreams? Steve Cameron lost his wife to cancer along with their home due to her prolonged illness. He and his young son have moved into a duplex next to Betsy to begin a new life. Unfortunately his next door neighbor has a chip on her shoulder. Can he help Betsy through this Christmas by smoothing her troubled past so they can finally mend their broken hearts and become a real family this holiday season? BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE is a story that I absolutely loved the moment that Steve brought Betsy the plate of cookies. This is an exceptional read that I couldn’t put down. Wonderful dialogue and well rounded characters make this story believable. Joey, as the young child, along with the other secondary characters are a great addition to the storyline. Ms. Hunter really gives depth to this story. Grab some tissues, this is a winner that will make your heart leap with joy and have you believing in miracles.
IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE MISTLETOE by Phyllis Campbell When Justin Monroe runs away from his own wedding and drives off in a jeep, he has no idea his peaceful getaway will be interrupted by a beautiful woman asleep in the backseat. He wants some alone time in the cabin but having a petite beauty so close in proximity to him only makes this tough guy simply melt. Can Justin repair Brooke’s injured heart? Brooke Cavanaugh thought she had climbed inside the back of her sister’s jeep to shake off a bad headache only to awake to find a man driving her into the mountains. Not only is Justin irritating but incredibly handsome. Too bad a past mistake has sworn her off sexy good looking men. But inside a toasty warm cabin with a crackling fire and a good looking man, will she crumble under his soft touch? IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE MISTLETOE is a story that will pull at your heart strings and leave you with a feel good feeling inside. The characters of Brooke and Justin really make this book worth the read. Both have had a rough time, but Brooke has been through a bit more and the scene when Justin hears her story, allows the reader to practically feel their emotions. The two were like a couple experiencing love for the very first time. Ms. Campbell writes a moving story that sticks in your head long after it is read. I couldn’t put the story down. The quality of her writing amazes me and this Christmas tale is no exception. MISTLETOE MAGIC is a story by three talented women that I would highly recommend not only during the holiday season but any time of the year. This reader can’t say enough about this fantastic book.
