After a terrible car accident, Hunter is left severely scarred. His most recent lover dumps him and leaves him with very little faith in females. But when beautiful Lila storms into his office begging him not to take her father’s shop, he makes her an offer. If she will be his mistress for three months he will leave their shop alone. What starts out as a simple agreement soon becomes a battle of wills. Can the burning passion between them heal Hunter’s soul? Or will it end up scorching them both?

I enjoyed this story from the beginning. The verbal sparring between Hunter and Lila was at times almost humorous but quickly turns into some scorching love scenes that burn up the pages. This is a true battle of wills. Ms. Vaughn has done an excellent job of showing the vulnerable side to both characters and makes the reader fall in love with them. This story is written with such passion, which comes out in both the battles and scorching sex scenes between Lila and Hunter. I would highly recommend this one to anyone looking for a hot sexy story that will keep them engrossed in the pages from the very first one.
