I have never been a fan of BDSM, especially those stories involving the Dom/Sub roles so I was hesitant when I first began to read this one. I will admit that the scenes are often graphic and may cause those unfamiliar with the lifestyle or those with a delicate stomach to cringe. An open mind is definitely required for any reader to get the full effect of the story. Those with preconceived ideas about BDSM or Dom/Sub relationships may find the story shocking, appalling, or sometimes offensive. Mistress Kitty seams mean-spirited and even downright cruel at times, but then you see her actions tempered by her obvious love for Trent. You will find yourself drawn into Trent's world of fear and submissiveness as you form an emotional connection with the character. That being said, for those who enjoy BDSM stories or those curious about the lifestyle, I can definitely recommend this book. The author handled the storyline with care and delicacy. The sex scenes are extremely sensual and quite steamy. You will see this lifestyle in a whole new light, possibly the way it was meant to be seen, full of sensuality, sexuality, love, lust, and romance!
