| Lark Emery heads to Napa Valley to find her niece and she tracks her to the Burton brothers. Aiden finds Lark poking around and decides to use her in his plot for revenge against the Burton brothers. He alters her memories and then sets her in the path of Evan Burton. Evan immediately senses something wrong with lark, but she’s ready and willing even if Evan isn’t yet. Discovering her connection with Aiden, Evan is unsure which side she is on. He takes her to their secluded estate for interrogation, but how can Evan protect her without revealing the family secret?
As the middle book in this trilogy, it kept me excited about the Burton brothers and the danger constantly surrounding them. The danger comes to a head in this book. Evan and his day-dwelling other half Joseph, have to face Aiden, the man who has been tormenting his brothers Ryan and Torral and their mate in the first book in this trilogy. Right from the first page your attention will be riveted on this book. The opening scene at first had me confused because I wasn’t quite sure what was going on, but I could send the immediate danger that surrounded Lark. As the danger continues to mount, so do the sexual adventures. As with any dominate male, there’s a lot of testosterone around. But in this story you not only get the dominate male, but you get two. What woman’s ultimate sexual fantasy doesn’t include two super hunky men who would do anything to earn the right to pleasure her? Add in a fast-paced plot full of danger, some wonderful characters and you’ve found one story that is sure to keep you on your toes and leave you with a smile on your face. But be warned, there are a few scenes where Aiden does some horrible things to Lark that may not be acceptable to the more sensitive readers.
