| The Allourian King needs perfect genetic matches for his heirs to keep the Rilirian Field, a force field that protects Darkeen holdings, strong. He uses Illusions, a virtual reality fantasy business, to test the women who come in. But the women are being stolen before the Darkeen men can claim them.
When Sansi walks into Illusions, she just wants the biggest fantasy Illusions has. It's her break with her overprotective family. But instead, she turns out to be a Darkeen genetic match, which targets her. A Mygian and the manager of Illusions work together to keep the women from the Darkeen men. The Mygian sells them as slaves, and when Sansi awakens aboard the Mygian's ship, she's in a nightmare. And after he takes her, she becomes Saeble. Three years later, her genetic match, Traiden, has come to claim her. She works on Lycree, Avandee's pleasure planet, but she has no intention of going with him. Traiden will do all he can to convince her, including making her beg for him. I was looking forward to the second book in the Darkeen series, but I was disappointed once I read it. This book was all about sex, with very little else. I never learned how Sansi/Saeble survived, or how she kept from hating sex and men in general. I never learned if she contacted her family, or if they worried for her. I never learned anything about Saeble, beyond that she'd been turned into a sex slave and ended up at Avandee. I don't even know how she got there. Nor was I sure how Traiden found her. I felt very disappointed because this story had more potential. It would have done okay as a short story, if only there had been a little more information, and a little more about the characters' development. However, if I wanted to read something just for the sex, Darkeen Dynasty: Mine to Take would be the best choice. Traiden was sexy, and his and Saeble's lovemaking was carnal in the extreme.
