Sadie Grissom and Devon Markier III work alongside together at the veterinarian clinic that Devon owns. Unfortunately, Sadie had had plans to buy the vet clinic when its previous owner retired. When Devon beat her to the punch, she's resented him ever since. Nevertheless, she enjoys working with him and more than anything, she has a strong attraction to him, an attraction that Devon reciprocates. Sadie's preconceived notions about Devon prevent her from getting to know the man beneath the money. Can he convince her that he's not a playboy, but instead, is a man deeply in love with her?

Sadie and Devon are hard workers, so watching them discover love is a pure pleasure. Devon is a genuinely nice guy and it is obvious from the beginning that he is not the selfish playboy Sadie imagines him to be. She has some hard lessons coming to her about Devon, but that makes her appreciate his love all the more. Mary Winter chooses a fine setting for which to showcase her characters' strengths. The vet clinic helps the reader to see just how caring and kind Devon and Sadie are and how much of a team they are right from the beginning. The only unsatisfying part of this story I felt was that Ms. Winter didn't do an adequate enough of a job of explaining Sadie's aversion to playboys. But in spite of this, Money Man is a warmhearted and compelling contemporary romance that includes endearing characters and a swift moving plot that throws the characters into all kinds of interesting situations together.
