| Josh has been told that his objective is to capture someone that has mutated into something dangerous and bring it to a designated location. He's sure when he finds him that the person will be a monster, able to control his mind and others with no remorse. When he finds Kir, he begins to wonder if what his contacts told him is really correct. Kir doesn't seem to be the kind of monster that everyone told him, he seems too young and naive. When he delivers him to the people that hired him, he finds out that there is more going on than he ever imagined…
Kir has never been loved for himself and when a man approaches him in the park and is nice to him, he holds out hope that this man might be the one that teaches him what caring means. He's attracted and when Josh turns out to be the one to capture him, bitterly disappointed. He's going to escape no matter what he has to do, even if it means controlling the one person who'd shown him kindness… Monster has it all, a fantastic story, intriguing characters and lots of action that makes it all one great package. I had a wonderful time reading this story and was only sorry that it ended so soon, and that it was to be continued. Kir was such a wounded person that you couldn't help but want someone to help him, even though he has powers beyond imagining. Josh is an older man that has an innate sense of right and wrong that won't allow him to just leave Kir. With all the emotion and suspense in the story, Monster definitely deserves a 5 heart rating!
