After five years in prison for a murder that he didn't commit, Dell Blackfeather is finally free. DNA evidence proved that his old friend Wilson Long was the murderer. On his way to start a new life, Dell meets Alison Taylor in the middle of the Arizona desert. Alison has left her husband and her fancy lifestyle in Los Angeles when she caught him in bed with another woman.

Dell and Alison were a great couple. I liked Dell very much and felt that he could have stepped right out of the story. Alison was a bit less real, but was fun to meet in Far From Montana. The couple was immediately attracted to each other and had graphic sex right from the beginning of the novella. The sex was wonderful, but I was much more interested in reading and watching them fall in love. The mystery had a few surprises, but I was able to figure out what was going on early in the story. I enjoyed the romance quite a lot more than the mystery, but Ms. Ash allowed her characters to tell their own story. She wrote a good plot and I would be interested in reading another of her books.
