Lisa Brooks goes on vacation to a Jamaican nudist resort, her first experience with this type of setting. Coming upon a bondage demonstration being given by a Jamaican hottie, Ace, she wants to walk away, but doesn’t. Instead she volunteers to be his assistant, and finds he’s even hotter up close. When she wins a sexual experience at that evening’s erotic casino, she wishes it could be delivered by Ace, even knowing that’s out of the question.

As a preface to my review, this location, Montego Bay, is one of my home towns, so I was interested to see how the setting, language, etc. would be handled. I was fairly happy with it, although there were a couple of places where the Jamaican vernacular was slightly wrong and made me giggle.

The story was short, light on plot, with a ‘Happy for now’ ending in keeping with the setting. While I had some issues with the dialogue in spots, it was, for the most part, smooth. There’s lots of explicit sex, although the initial tease regarding bondage is never explored.

The story went seriously awry for me with a case of mistaken identity (which seemed unbelievable) and the heroine’s reaction to the situation she eventually finds herself in. Perhaps they were meant to add tension and conflict, but seemed contrived, a bit silly under the circumstances, and didn’t add anything to the story. But if you’re looking for a short, frothy read, Montego Lay might be for you.
