Maria is in lust with her neighbor Dylan but being pursued and harassed by another man in the building that she wants nothing to do with. Dylan is aloof while the other is all too friendly. When giving Maria the tarot card that was delivered to his mailbox by mistake Dylan overhears a message left by a stalker that is after Maria. What's a girl to do when everyone but the man she wants seems to want her?

Michelle Hasker does her usual superb job of writing in this addition to the Oracle series. She mixes little twists of humor that make me chuckle with suspense and some hot eroticism. The villain is nastier than anyone has a right to be. We can't help but hope for his demise when we almost hear his evil laugh through the pages. The characters and dialogue are well crafted. Dylan is the ultimate hero who's part Lothario and part self deprecating vampire who thinks he's not good enough for Maria. Have to love a male character who isn't all overbearing ego! This is a great complement to this series and a thoroughly satisfying read.
