| Eden Camden is a demon slayer. From the tender age of sixteen, Eden recognized that she was different from other teen girls. She often saw frightening things and soon came to realize that the Undead was real. And, to make matter worse, she lost her parents to a terrible automobile accident. With no living relatives, Eden’s fate was to become a ward of the courts until Elliot Warwick walked into her life claiming to be her legal guardian. Elliot trained Eden both mentally and physically on the art of being a demon slayer. Now, ten years later, Eden and Elliot are taking on the evil demons on a nightly basis in Las Vegas. All while, trying to deny their growing desires for each other. Their latest villain is a Master Vampire who wants to unchain a mystifying prophecy and the only way he can conquer his goal is by binding Eden to him for eternity.
Moonlight, Wine & Stakes is a very intriguing read filled with kick-ass, non-stop action that will have you caught up in a whirlwind until the very end. The plot reminds me of my favorite TV show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. There was always an evil demon lurking around and one of the vampires had a soft spot for Eden, which made the story very interesting. Eden and Elliot are two robust and compelling characters who fought their desires for fear that the other did not share the attraction. Ms. Warren did an excellent job of building up their sexual frustrations, so much so, that when they finally came together it was explosive. If you are in the mood for a thrilling story that is jammed-packed with passion and suspense, then Moonlight, Wine & Stakes is just what the doctor ordered!
