| The staff of the Emergency room is puzzled and intrigued by the unconscious naked man who was brought in on the overnight shift. He shows no signs of trauma or drug use, but does not wake up. Janet is the nurse in charge of his care. She finds herself taking a closer look at the very handsome and muscular young man. Max wakes up confused and does not know how he ended up there. The last thing he remembers is fighting one of the rogue wolves trying to build an army in the town. Their leader is also in the ER and has targeted Janet. Max is more than usually protective of Janet and is determined that Gorman, the rogue wolf leader, will not harm her. Janet is his mate.
The author has done a good job of creating her werewolf world here. The customs and rules are explained without interfering with the story. Janet and Max are great characters and the chemistry between them is pretty hot. The suspense builds slowly and left me on the edge of my seat. The dialogue is well written and witty. The characters are very well developed. Gorman is a particularly evil villain who really makes the story. Fans of werewolf romance are definitely going to love this story. It has everything, great characters, a gripping plot, and some pretty hot love scenes.
