| For fifteen years, Luke lived by three rules: don't draw his father's attention, never spend more than one night with a man and don't fall in love. So he joined a gay sex club to enjoy sex with no ties, but all that changes the night he meets Richard and Matthew. After a night of incredible sex with the two men, they decide to see each other again to see if it was a fluke. Before you know it they are a trying to make a relationship between the three of them work. Can Luke avoid his father and make a relationship work?
I went into reading this book with the misconception that it was going to be all about the sex. Boy was I glad I was wrong. The plot was well written, interesting and suspenseful. It moved quickly and smoothly. The characters were well written and the author gave them three distinctly different personalities but made them real enough that the relationship seemed plausible. Richard was the leader and most rational of the three, Luke because of his past was a bit of a worrier and Matthew the youngest was somewhat insecure, a people pleaser. I liked how they all worked at the relationship. Supporting and accepting each others flaws and learning to read the other person quirks. Though the situation they found themselves in was at times far fetched they seemed real enough that it did not take anything away from the story. Since the story is about a threesome there are some steamy m/m/m sexual situations. The sex scenes were well thought out and did not overwhelm the story with sex, which I found refreshing in a ménage a trois story. I had not heard of this author before I picked this book, but I think I will be putting her on my must read list I like it that much.
