| A reluctant romance begins between college freshman Shayne Ralston and quarterback Desmond Stratton. The romance might be over quickly because Desmond is not openly gay, Shayne is. Staying in the closet is not an option for Shayne even for the man he loves. Desmond has some hard decisions to ponder. The one thing he decides is more than anything he wants Shayne.
Another lovely sweet story with adorable characters from Shawn Lane. Desmond and Shayne are a good fit, both charming, smart and of course, very hot. The author does a fantastic job of writing concise and complete short stories to keep the reader engaged. All the characters in this story are well written and relate to each other like real people. I liked the relationship with family being a focal part of this story also. There's not a lot of angst or drawn out contemplation on Desmond's dilemma. It was resolved in a good way. I will say as far as characters go Shayne's best friend Bart was very intriguing to me, I'm so happy he gets his own story. I'm really looking forward to that one. With a Shawn Lane story a good love match is expected, this one was no exception. A very nice read.
