Kristen Carter believes she doesn't need a man in her life after her fiancé left her at the altar for another man. Yet when she spies her gorgeous neighbor making love to another woman through her bedroom window, she suddenly realises how lonely her life really is and that she has turned into a complete workaholic to avoid getting hurt again.

Austin, the seriously hot neighbor, is sick of his revolving door of relationships and is looking for the one woman for him. Figures she may be closer than he thinks – the woman next door. Can he convince her that he's the one?

This book starts quite interestingly with an interfering mother who only wants the best for her daughter by trying to set her up a blind date which she outright refuses. Yet, I was disappointed with Kristen and her resentfulness. It was as if she was blaming the decision of one man leaving her at the altar by punishing Austin. Giving him the cold shoulder when he didn't deserve it; he wasn't the one to have left. And besides, everyone deserves happiness in their lives including her. So I couldn't fathom how easily she kept pushing him away. On the other hand, Austin was a very likeable hero and his persistence to make Kristen a believer that she deserved love in her life again was gratifying to read. He wanted her, and he was surely going to make her his no matter what it took. No matter what obstacles stood in their way.

In spite of my unhappiness towards the heroine at moments throughout this book, I still thought it was a good read that flowed nicely before my eyes. Also, I really liked the ending because it just went to show that love can overcome any obstacle even if it does take time to realise.
