| Morgan is mortified to find Joe standing behind her right after confessing her lustful crush on him to Kate. All Joe feels is relief. Now he plans to act on the attraction simmering between them and help Morgan fulfill her fantasies. Morgan worries Joe will leave after he and three of his friends satisfy her desires, but he’s out to prove he is the man for her.
It is easy to sympathize with Morgan in the opening scene when Joe overhears her talking with Kate. Her reaction is completely realistic and that makes her an easy character to relate to. But it is Joe’s reaction, or non-reaction, to her revelation that is key. Not only does it highlight his laid back attitude but it soothes Morgan’s embarrassment and allows her to feel comfortable enough with him to enjoy the surprises he has set up for her. Jayne Rylon has written an extremely steamy story about two people discovering acceptance, and something more, with each other. The emotional connection between Joe and Morgan is as important as the physical one, and it opens Morgan to the possibility of fulfilling her fantasies because she is able to trust Joe. The pacing of this story is perfect for its length, and the whole story is satisfying, especially the ending. It is a fantastic follow up to the first book in the Powertools series, but it can be read on its own.
