Tyler Michaels is an ex Navy SEAL and an undercover narcotics cop with the LAPD. After a drug bust goes wrong, he becomes a target of an unknown enemy. He doesn't know who is after him and he doesn't know who he can trust. Is someone from his past after him, or someone near to him? All of Tyler's secrets are coming out even some he has kept from his lover Dr. Ryan Douglas. Can Tyler survive long enough to protect his lover and his secrets before someone gets him or those he loves the most?

This book is fast paced and action packed. The plot is full of twist and turns and times seemed never-ending. This book reads like every action movie you have ever seen. The characters while they suit the story are not believable. I would have liked the character of Tyler better if he were toned down a bit, as it was I kept wondering where his red cape was. He was self-centered and thought he was the only who could fix the problem which only made more problems and everyone around him let him continue to act that way, including his boss. This had the unfortunate effect of making them appear very incompetent. His boss wouldn't correct and let him continually put himself in danger and his lover kept patching him up and never really showed deep emotion. Tyler should have died many times in the story. Maybe if I was more of an action fan I would have enjoyed the story more but I was looking for romance and it just wasn't there for me. There are some m/m situations but not many and they are not too offensive. While well written, the book really is more suited to an action and suspense lover than to a romantic.
