| Meagan is an up and coming artist who has always had a better than average sixth sense but she really does not believe in magic the way her best friend and tenant does. The landscapes that she paints from her dreams do sell really well though. She is very excited to find that the very handsome man she ran into earlier in the day is a famous musician and that Ric is interested in her. She doubts his sanity when he tells her that he is an elf and that she is half elf and a long lost heiress. The Queen has sent him to find her and bring her back by any means necessary. Another faction of the court is determined that she never claim her inheritance since they hate humans and think that humans and fae should never ever mix.
I really enjoyed this interesting and exciting story. Meagan and Ric are a great couple with intense chemistry. Ric's secrets cause a few complications and Owain le Faire's machinations add suspense and excitement to the story. The characters are vivid and unusual and the subplots of Aiden's past romantic history and Jase's developing one add a bit more dimension to the story. I loved the contrast between life above and Underhill. The politics at the Fae court were absolutely fascinating. Meagan's skill with her pink Louisville Slugger and her growing skill with magic kept my interest as much as the excellent love scenes. This is a fairy story that will keep you hooked from the first page to the last.
