| Working for their family to help protect the wolf population, Conner Devlin and his brother are in Romania. The Romanian government does not seem to have the natural wolves' best interest as a priority. This could not only be devastating to the "natural" wolves, but it could severely harm the werewolf population as well. Conner's family takes a vested interest in all things related to their heritage, and hopes to work with the government, and the Braslieu family, to make headway. The Braslieu family offers a liaison who makes his mouth water, and takes away his ability to think; and when she needs him most he is there.
Katya is in negotiations with Conner Devlin to help her family and her wolves get the protection they need. She just didn't expect to encounter a werewolf such as Conner. He is definitely not the beta wolf type… he is all alpha-wolf. It turns out that Katya is not only her family's liaison, but she is leader of the Braslieu Pack. This makes her very attractive to power-hungry alpha-wolves who want to take her virginity and control her pack. Conner saves her from being raped by a wolf in her pack, and in the process of comforting her, she lets him take the very thing she is trying to preserve - her virginity. Will a Romanian Pack accept that their Leader has mated with an American? Will an Alpha such as Conner let Katya rule her lands, or will he be no better than the power-hungry would-be rapist and steal her pack from her? And will they be safe from wolf hunters? Two very headstrong Alpha's battle wits, battle for control, and battle within themselves the heat generated between the two. Conner and Katya scorch the pages in this excellent addition to the Devlin Dynasty series. This book can be read independently but all the Devlin tales are yummy and well worth a look. Ms Burton did it again - a great book filled with emotions, tension and humor.
