| What a cute, funny, sexy fast-read! I have never read Ms. Ashlyn Chase’s works before, but I recommend her. Her quick paced plot is certainly a new one for me and while comical, it also shows its characters to be opinionated, strong-willed, and quite believable. The first emotion that hit me was the funny—who would have ever thought that a young woman would approach a total stranger and accuse him of causing problems such as this!
Natalie Watson was in a bad mood; a building was being demolished next door to the clinic and the men were having trouble keeping their specimens in their proper cups with all the noise and disruption. She stomped downstairs, out the door, and confronted the workers! She was a nurse in a sperm bank and, since their criteria was so restrictive, she usually tried to date these donors. However, she was going through a long, dry spell where she faced “no-shows,” an unthinkable group of men who stood her up! Liz, her co-worker, tried to console her, but evidentially took her to see a psychic. Zelda, the psychic, told her that she would meet a man nearby, with fair hair and features, and that he would be perfect for her. She told Natalie that he liked to laugh, worked with his hands and was intelligent. That was nobody Natalie knew! As they walked back to the office, they stopped to ask the work crew what business was going into the area of the demolished building. Too late, Natalie realized that the man she was referred to was the man she criticized that morning! Amazingly, she would meet that man, Shane “Crusher” Derby much sooner than she expected. Natalie and Crusher started seeing each other with a “standing date” every Saturday. The relationship was explosive and so sensual that I’m sure Ms. Chase scorched her keyboard while writing! These two characters were solidly built and were obviously perfect for each other. Each had traits which complimented the other; the way the author presented this information was wonderful. I recommend this book; it’s good reading!
