| Professor Drew Lawson has one day to authenticate the mummy of Princess Merneith. He has a prior commitment with his boyfriend that he absolutely must attend, no excuses. Fraser Fortune, a reality show host, also has plans for the mummy that coincide with Drew's. When the two meet the attraction is swift and fierce. Enough to make the dead stand up and notice.
When you have a hankering to read the best in m/m genre, look no further than a Josh Lanyon book. The first installment in the XOXO Files is a perfectly charming and entertaining read. The writing is crisp and the banter between the main characters on point. Drew and Fraser are complete opposites but their attraction to each other is sizzling. The story is very funny with wonderfully written witty dialogue delivered by two of the best character's I've read in a long time. Taylor MacAllister and Will Brandt, you've got competition for my heart. Although a short novel the characters and the story have depth, the reader isn't shortchanged at all. I must give a sly wink to the author for paying homage to the old Mummy movie classics, it was a hoot. This book was a thrill to read and gets my happy dance recommendation. I'm looking forward to reading more. Well done Josh.
