Must Love Hellhounds is an anthology that includes stories from authors Charlaine Harris, Nalini Singh, Ilona Andrews and Meljean Brook. I admit, I picked this one out primarily because of Ms. Singh's story, but was looking forward to the opportunity to read the others as well.

In The Britlingens Go to Hell (Harris), two women warriors are hired to take their client into hell and steal from the devil himself—but who knoows what they'll find there, or if they will make it back out alive.

In Angels' Judgment (Singh), Sara Haziz is being considered for the position of the new leader of the Guild Hunters, but before she'll be accepted by the Angels and vampires alike, she will be tested—inn more ways than one.

Magic Mourns (Andrews) brings us into a world where technology and magic cannot exist together, but Andrea and Raphael discover that they're not only going to need both if they want to defeat the biggest, baddest hellhound this side of the underworld, they're going to need each other.

In Blind Spot (Brook), Maggie finds herself paired with her boss's blind nephew in a search for his kidnapped sister, only to discover that although Geoffrey Blake is definitely blind, he still sees—into the heart of her.

I like anthologies like this because it gives me the chance to try something from new authors without investing a lot of time and money in their full length novel. In this case, I knew I'd be getting at least one story that I would love and I'd heard enough good things about the other three authors to make it more than worthwhile.

And I wasn't disappointed. Must Love Hellhounds was one of the best anthologies I've picked up in a long time! Of course, Ms. Singh's story rocked! It had everything I love about her writing, fabulous world building, deep characters, and a storyline packed with lots of action. But the stories of Ms. Harris, Ms. Andrews and Ms. Brook were equally well developed and brimming with characters that you need to learn more about. Good thing they all have more books for me to read!
