Myra is considered a freak among her roommate’s pack mates. She is not a werewolf, but she is a were. At the full moon she has been known to change into just about anything from her current boyfriend to a Venus flytrap. She is also a bit of a new age hippie type, doing yoga and eating heath food, very strange to the macho meat-eating wolves that she has been dating. She is happy alone, but Jenny will not move in with her two men until Myra is taken care of. They keep fixing her up on blind dates, but her reputation precedes her. One night the boys bring Colin home. Colin is definitely leery of Myra. His roommate dated her and has nothing good to say about the experience, but he is very attracted to her and vice versa. Despite his misgivings, she might very well be his mate.

Myra is a quirky and likable character. She is always trying to help and please the people she is with, which leads her into trouble. The reason Colin’s roommate broke up with her is that he wanted to have sex with himself and she obliged, scaring him off. The wolves seem to be a bit biased about anyone who doesn’t howl at the moon, Myra included. Colin seems to get over this bias quickly in spite of the hassles with his roommate. He is strong and stable and seems to be just what Myra needs. The werewolf culture in this series is a bit different from most of the others I have read and might not appeal to some readers, but the stories are good and the characters well written.
