| In Mysteria Lane, four talented paranormal romance authors got together again to tell more tales about the mysterious town of Mysteria. It is not necessary to have read Mysteria but I highly recommend reading it first, the stories in this anthology are about characters first introduced in the first anthology.
Mary Janice Davidson brings us the story of the Desdaine triplets and what happens when one grows up much faster than the other two in Disdaining Trouble. Thad Wilson has never had much use for the troublemaking Desdaine triplets until Withering takes a spill into the wishing well and returns ten years older. Trouble has never looked so good! In The Nanny From Hell, Susan Grant tells the story of an assassin sent literally from hell to get close to and murder the new Faithful baby. After all Satan can’t have a former demon lord happy and content. Shay is a demon with a lot of experience destroying many men through treachery and deceit but she has never met a man like the demon slayer Quel Laredo. Glory Tawdry is the witch of love but it is her sisters that have found that elusive emotion. Right now Glory wants to be the witch of revenge and Falon is her target. How dare he embarrass and reject her! In Gena Showalter’s A Tawdry Affair, love and hate walk a very narrow line. Falon doesn’t know what he has done by hurting Glory! P. C. Cast’s story It’s In His Kiss brings together high school English teacher Summer Smith with a sultry vampire named Colin. What can a vegetarian school teacher have in common with a vampire art dealer? Colin thinks Summer can bring him sunshine and light that he desperately misses but Summer wants a warm, humorous man not a dreary sullen vampire. But Summer possesses an unusual form of magic that turns everything upside down! I enjoyed this anthology. I found it funny, lighthearted, charming, and highly entertaining and that is quite an accomplishment for a book filled with stories about demons, vampires, witches, and even Satan! These four highly gifted authors have built a town where the unusual is normal and people with other abilities or genetics are welcomed but it makes for a very interesting mix! Each of the four stories connect because they have characters that interconnect in the community but each story is unique and very different from the others. Expect the unexpected and you won’t be disappointed. I would love to read a third book about characters in this mysterious town, keep them tales coming ladies!
