| Kat is a Navajo journalist drawn into an investigation about her Native American lands. She first meets Gabe when he rescues her from a bad hiking fall then for the second time when he is with the local police who raid a sacred religious ceremony she is attending. Gabe knows protocol wasn't followed for the raid and suspects a corrupt policeman. Drawn together by the investigation and also their attraction to each other, they encounter more danger than either expected.
Naked Edge is romantic suspense at its best! I was drawn into the story with the prologue and each chapter that followed kept me enthralled by the suspense, action, developing romance and the great characters. The author obviously researched her book well because the reader is treated to numerous Native American customs, sayings, and practices that bring life to the book and storyline. Kat's integrity, purity, and honesty combine to make her very interesting and authentic while Gabe's history sheds light on his character. I couldn't wait to turn the page to find out what would happen next! Kat's innocence, while unrealistic in today's modern world, blended perfectly with her Native American heritage. I thought Gabe's reaction to his desire for Kat said a lot about his character. Kat's innate goodness is a balm to Gabe as he is continuously amazed at her actions and thoughts. The sexual tension built steadily and added to the heart-pounding suspense of the investigation. The story moves along at a fast pace. There was so much action and adventure written into the plot that I didn't want to stop reading. Naked Edge is the fourth book in the I-Team series but it stands alone just fine. This author has definitely been put on my keeper list and I hope to go back and read the previous I-Team stories.
