Becca Shaw is not the type to want to settle down and get married. However, when she learns Dylan, a lead guitarist for an up and coming band, is looking for a place to stay, she figures offering him her spare room is a good deal. Then things become complicated and Dylan finds his feelings for Becca run deeper than lust. In fact, he wants a relationship with her. But before they make a commitment, something from Dylan's past threatens to destroy their future.

The plot of this book was the perfect length, and had me fully captivated from the first page. I could not put it down. The story line flowed brilliantly, as to did the dialogue that revealed so much about Becca and her issues for committing to a relationship with a man. The sex scenes between Dylan and Becca were scorching, and illustrated how much of a powerful attraction these two had for each other. And even when Becca was trying to deny that attraction, there was no hope. What I liked so much about Becca was that once she realised how good it was having Dylan around, she gave in the desire she felt for him. While with Dylan, I liked that he pushed Becca's boundaries and got her to open up to the idea of them being in a relationship.

Overall, Ms. Michaels has done an extraordinary job writing this tale which I'm glad ended on such a happy note after Dylan's past threatened to destroy their future as a couple. As for the secondary characters, I really liked Becca's best friend Sydney who seemed like the sort of friend every woman needs. And lastly, after reading this book I can't wait to go read the rest of this wonderful series.
