| Chaya and Natches have a traumatic and painful history. Memories haunt her, guilt from finding comfort in his arms, and the overwhelming desire she feels for him have her running from their past. Now an investigation into terrorism and arms dealing has her back in his hometown and she has no place to run, nowhere to hide. She's forced to confront the feeling she has for Natches.
Natches has never forgotten Chaya. He rescued her from the terrorists who tortured and brutalized her. Comforted her when her life disintegrated and only pain and heartbreak was left in its place. She's stayed in his dreams, embedded deep his soul. He's let her run from him and that past. Now she's back and he's done waiting. This time he won't let her run from him, their past, or the desire that threatens to consume them in a conflagration of flames. Chaya is survivor. She's strong on the outside, hiding behind indifference, but her past is ever present, threatening to destroy her. Meeting up with Natches again only intensifies her torment. Natches, also a survivor, lived most of his childhood years being physically abused by his controlling father. His days as a marine sniper are legendary until he's medically discharged after taking a bullet to his shoulder. These two have much to work through personally. They are forced to confront their pasts before either can look forward to the future. Nauti Dreams is an electrifying combination of suspense, heavy emotion, and sexual tension. It's a fantastic reading experience. The love scenes are frequent and expertly executed, woven around a dramatic story of family unity and treason in small town in Kentucky. Nauti Dreams is the third book in Lora's Nauti Boy Series. While it stands alone, I would suggest reading the previous novels in this series, Nauti Boy and Nauti Nights, also. Reading all the books in the series gives the reader a greater understanding of the town's inhabitants, the dynamics of the family Mackay and how all their lives entwine. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Nauti Intentions.
