The Legendary Necklace of Andulaysia by Lanette Kissel is a magical romantic adventure filled with surprises. Lyssa is upset that she has been betrayed, but as the story continues she sees it may be the best thing to ever happen to her. The magic of the necklace is intriguing and the reader never knows what it might conjure. Lyssa is a character that has known sadness and does not expect to be happy. Even feeling this way she wants everyone around her to be happy. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly, conveying the thoughts and emotions of the characters. The scenes are described in enough details to make the story easily imagined. There is a little romance in the story but it is not the main subject of the story. This is a cute story that will leave the reader smiling.
