| Poor Elsa. One minute she is taking a break in the parking lot of her workplace and the next she is captive is a world far removed from earth. She is taught to obey and provide pleasure, becoming a disciple in a land of stringent rules. And for a spirited woman like Elsa, she has trouble following these rules and must be taught body and soul the correct ways of a Disciple of Pleasure. Her own love is forbidden and Elsa hungers for Robert to be her true master. But fate has another destiny.
Suddenly Elsa is kidnapped and again taken to a new place, this one ruled by blue-skinned Dhjinn E'noch, otherwise known as Genies. These powerful beings have equally strong libidos and Elsa's disciple training will reach its limits as she is indoctrinated into the Host's harem. Indeed Elsa is to be the great Dhjinn's bride and with that responsibility comes strict obedience which Elsa fails at and must face various means of humiliation and dominance to obtain the necessary manners to please her master and husband-to-be. But Elsa is not alone. Other women face her punishments with both tears and strength. This strange new land abounds with different instruments of punishment and pleasure designed to elicit the ultimate in mental and physical response. Elsa finds herself in the middle of a lifestyle where humans are the playthings of the almighty Dhjinns and she is powerless to escape from her master and her fate as his bride. And what of poor Robert, who knows Elsa has been taken to the lands of the untouchable Dhjinn E'nochs and must find a way to get his love back. While it is not absolutely necessary to read the first book of this series; Disciples of Pleasure, I would recommend it for the complete explanations of how Elsa finds herself in another world far removed, yet linked with earth. This world is all about pleasure and obedience and though Book 2 Nectar of Ecstacy does do a recap now and then to briefly explain Elsa's predicament, it can be confusing especially the link with Robert and why Elsa has him deeply in her heart. Likewise, Elsa's journey will continue in sequels and the story line is quite complex, so better to start at the beginning for flow and understanding. Yes, it is erotic BDSM, but the story is far more in plot and depth than a single volume could hold so for maximum enjoyment and not just heat factor do yourself a favor and read the series in order. My complaint with the book would be the character of Robert has been swallowed by the strength of the Dhjinn's and other male characters to the point where I wonder what Elsa sees in him. I mean the Dhjinn's are physically daunting and ravenous sexually, but Elsa is portrayed as totally satisfied with the physical dominance and sex. Merely saying she wants Robert and keeps him in her heart while being with other men and Dhjinns doesn't quite add up to why she loves him so. That said, I did find the book engrossing and a hot read, with an engaging plot that keeps you turning the pages to see what else the minx Elsa has gotten herself into. The story line is complex as is shown by the number of volumes in this series but well worth the time. I found the Dhjinns fascinating and their culture well developed and quite a sexual fantasm to be savored. There are many interesting concepts to this story and for a fantasy read with eroticism at its zenith, I highly recommend it.
