| Annie Simpson comes home to a naked stranger. At first, she thinks he's psychotic with his claims of being from the future. But, despite his obvious delusions, Annie has a feeling he's harmless. And he also inspires a certain protectiveness in her, especially when he says he'll be destroyed if he's found.
But when both their lives are threatened by a laser-toting woman, Annie begins believing him. The woman wants James dead because he led the rebellion of slaves. It's up to Annie to decide if she wants to help him. Her growing attraction towards him will not help to keep her mind clear. There's also the possibility that James is not telling her the whole truth. Never Love A Stranger was an amazing sci-fi romance. It started out with a steady pace in which Annie got to know James. Soon, however, the pace became so fast I couldn't stop reading. The love was utterly genuine and the sex, while not explicit, very sexy and true to the characters. And it was very hot at times, displaying plenty of the characters' emotions and desires. But it was the action, science-fiction plot, and amazing twists that kept me reading for hours. You'll expect, or suspect, one thing and get something entirely different. I loved that about this book. James was a very sympathetic hero, and I absolutely agreed with Annie that he was sweet. But that didn't mean he was a complete pushover. There were times when he was the Alpha male one wants in a romance. Never Love A Stranger is definitely a book sci-fi romance readers shouldn't forget on their buying lists.
