Galen, however, knows the truth—Traia is his mate, and although she could kill him with traditional weapons, her magick is useless against him, just as he could never harm her. He plans to convince her to bind with him, or die trying.

This was a short fun read with a simple yet powerful plot. What do you do when the one person you desire also has the power to destroy you? Both Traia and Galen know and fear the consequences of being together -- which includes the possibility of death. Traia is hell-bent on resisting the tantalizing werewolf’s allure and fights the overwhelming attraction with everything she can, much to Galen’s enjoyment.

The clash of these two very well-drawn characters, and their interaction, was a pleasure to read. It was exactly the right amount of plot for the length, giving conflict but also the chance for a happy resolution. The world was presented with enough detail to make their dilemmas believable without being overwhelming. The sex scenes were integral to the story but perhaps the one area I found slightly disappointing. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this novella.
