| New Blood is the third book in the Bloodstone Chronicles and it is recommended that the books be read in order so that the history of the bloodstone, and Aideen's history with it, are fully explained.
In Dublin, Kean Toland has waited his entire life for Aideen Godwin. Her father was a practitioner of the Art of Magic and Kean was his prize pupil. Aideen, on the other hand, was the one forced begrudgingly into the traditional ceremonies. Upon her arrival into adulthood, she shed those traditions and went on to form her own life, as a shop owner. Kean has finally caught up too her so that he can retrieve the bloodstone and with her help stem the evil that is going to happen should the bloodstone fall into the wrong hands. Aideen is the only one capable of listening to the stones wishes and carrying them out; she is as important to the evildoers as the stone itself is. Kean and Aideen embark on a journey that could end their lives. Can they save themselves and keep the stone away from others? Can Kean convince Aideen not to give up on her powers, but to embrace them? This was an action-packed roller coaster ride. Kean is a strong man; he is strong in his beliefs, his convictions and his body. Magic is something Aideen has forsaken and has not regretted until she purchases the bloodstone from the auction house (this happens in book one). Now she must learn to control the stone or die trying. A wonderful series!
