| Kyle Madsen is a psychologist who helps the police try to understand the mind of people who believe they're vampires. He's been fascinated by lore since he was young and started thinking that peopleĦs love of vampires comes from a desire for immortality. Sophia Chase is determined to put an end to the killings being done by a man she turned several years ago with the goal of saving his life and helping him. It didn't work out that way for some reason.
Cassandra Moore adds another unique twist to this fascinating series. Kyle and Sophia seem like an unlikely pair since he doesn't think it's possible for her to exist. He seems to enjoy the way she convinces him! The author does a great service to psychologists by making Kyle such an open-minded man. He's a scholar and a man who believes what's in front of his face besides. Sophia is wracked by guilt over the actions of a man she turned for all the best reasons. Ms. Moore makes this an excellent addition to this series as we get into the minds of a killer as well as those who hunt him in a very realistic way.
