| The entire Tuathan world is under attack by the Unsellie Court, and all the kingdoms are engaged in bitter warfare. Sometimes the amazing psychic abilities of the Night Elf Prince Serosen, from the Winter Kingdome, seem to be the only thing holding back the enemy forces. When one night, his mind-travel gift shows him something absolutely forbidden, a beautiful young Terran woman smuggled into the Summer Kingdome by his unprincipled cousin, Du'an, Serosen reacts with fury. By importing a woman from their sister-world of Earth, Du'an opened the portal that would allow the Unsellie to attack with their magickal powers and conquer the defenseless humans. Serosen must act fast to close the portal and send the maiden back to her home.
Confronting his cousin, Serosen takes charge of the lovely Selena, but before he can send her back to her world, the evil Golem soldiers of the Unsellie arrive, and he must battle them as well as try to free Selena from the erotic enchantment Du'an has placed her under. Although releasing the lust-crazed girl from the spell will bind her to him for eternity, when the Lord of Death tries to claim her, Serosen is left with no other choice. As she struggles to understand the new world where she finds herself, and the strange events going on around her, Selena feels a growing desire for Serosen. And as she comes to understand the threat they are facing, she discovers a mysterious inner core of power that she never knew she had. It soon becomes clear to everyone that Selena is far from an ordinary human. Will she and Serosen be able to save the Tuathan people from defeat? This well-written story from Ellora's Cave is another winning romantica offering. The spicy hot sex is the perfect punctuation for the fast-paced fantasy plot. The world of the Tuathan people is well planned and consistent throughout the book, the dialog and characters are believable and appealing, and there are plenty of surprises. If only it were possible to get a vacation package from the local travel agent and pay a visit! Oh, well. Just have to wait for the next book!
