In the fifth book of the D’Artigo Sisters series, Delilah, a werecat, is going to have to step up her acceptance of her role as a Death Maiden for the Autumn Lord. Delilah and Chase’s relationship is on the rocks and Delilah renews her connection to Zach a werepuma. Karvanak, the demon lord who stole the third Spirit Seal, isn’t done with the D’Artigo sisters and Delilah may be the only one who can defeat him with her connection to the Autumn Lord and her other gifts. Then Karvanak ups the stakes and kidnaps Chase. Will Delilah and her sister’s along with their friends be able to rescue Chase in time and will he ever be the same? Delilah will have to decide how she feels about Chase and what about Zach?

Ms. Galenorn certainly hasn’t lost any momentum in this fifth book. If anything, the suspense is building from book to book probably heading towards an epic battle ending at the end of the series! In the earlier books, Delilah seems to be the weaker sister but in this book she is really coming into her own and I just wanted to cheer – go girl go! Delilah has to make some very emotional decisions in this book that help build her character and force her to mature. I was sorry for the conflict between Chase and Delilah that lead to a crisis for Delilah about what she wants in a relationship but I like the character of Zach too and enjoyed him being back in the story. I think Ms. Galenorn did an outstanding job with Delilah in this book. We also learn some more information about Camille’s missing boyfriend Trillian from the forth book and a major change occurs in the war in the Otherworld but we’ll have to wait for the next book to see how that affects the D’Artigo sisters. I can hardly wait until the sixth book is released to find out what happens next!
