I say this generally before I review any story from the 1Night Stand series. This is a series from Decadent Publishing. All the heroines and heroes in this series either have friends who send them to, or they hear about, Madame Evangeline's high-end dating service 1Night Stand. The entire series is written by different authors.

We begin this story with our hero, Dominick Alvarez, basically thinking of backing out of the date. He's a forty year-old law professor at Harvard. He likes to keep his dating away from his job but has been tempted by co-eds to the point he needs a date with a younger woman. He also happens to be Cuban, like the Castillo family who are almost always in these stories for one reason or another. Then we meet his date Alex, Alexandria Petron, a twenty three year-old woman who works as a buyer. Alex is being prepared for her date by her Aunt Lilli. Alex doesn't think she has very good luck with men her age and would like an older man who will treat her well. Yes, I was smirking as I typed that.

They meet in one of the Castillo Hotels, one of the usual settings for these stories, and it is worth it! I just wish they were real so I could take a vacation. Anyway, the two meet and are almost speechless by what they see. Obviously they are attracted to each other. You know, for two people who live in very professional worlds, these two are a little afraid and awkward with each other. Ms. Jade truly shows us what happens between two highly intelligent, attractive people with chemistry through the roof can and will do with each other. No romance is ever cut and dried so she gives us a rocky moment or two that kept me on the edge of my seat. Keep in mind, I have one hundred and one of this series and have reviewed sixteen of them here (oh and this one makes seventeen) so I obviously like (love) this series. This is a good story, hot and is totally worth the read!
