Night Train begins with a journey of discovery for a young artist and ends where she never could have imagined. Elaine is taking the Orient Express to Prague after touring Rome and Vienna. Aramus is a mysterious gentleman straight from the pages of GQ who wants to stay with her for the night. Elaine cannot resist his dark seduction. When Aramus realizes who she’s meeting his tender feelings turn protective. When they arrive in Prague Elaine begins a new journey to a stunning palazzo that conceals strange secrets, the elegant, dangerous court of an ancient Vampire.

Morgan Hawke has written a lush, sensual romance with an edgy gothic aura that is saved from tumbling into simple dark horror by the endearing journey of the three main characters who find redemption in the power of love. Does this story deserve the “Devils Breath” rating? Oh yes, the sex scenes are graphic and totally explicit. But, I believe, they are saved from the harsher side of that rating by the passion and love that Ms Hawke skillfully weaves into the personality and actions of her admittedly edgy heroes. This is erotic romance: a highly romantic plot of love lost and love found again that includes graphic and definitely exotic sexual practices. These are not your nice neighborhood vampires who get their blood from the Red Cross! Elaine is an artist, creative and sensitive but also sassy and well able to hold her own against a sexy, enthralling man like Aramus. But Aramus isn’t a man and the ultimate demise of the plucky! Elaine comes quickly when they are confronted by a truly evil enemy. Aramus takes Elaine to a house party where all is not as it seems; their host is an even more ancient Vampire by the name of Rafael. The princely Rafael is hauntingly beautiful and ageless. He is the dark prince of vampiric lore, utterly tempting and totally terrifying! I couldn’t put this book away until I finished it and then was left wanting more. These three will haunt my dreams, but always together. Although he showed a tender side, I wouldn’t want to dream of Rafael alone. If you enjoy kinky vampires with a dark romantic edge, this is a great story for you! Morgan Hawke is a fresh voice in paranormal erotic fiction who I predict will continue to grow in popularity.
