| Fianna Connor is determined to escape an unwanted marriage. She runs away from home hoping to get lost in a big city full of people. Fianna awakens and travels on to the city where she gets a job telling futures in a tavern. There she is introduced to Stilo. Stilo is half vampire and half Bandegra, a beastlike creature. He has also taken a liking to Fianna. Fianna will have to decide between Gaderian and Stilo. One means a love forever where the other may lead to her death.
Night Shadows is a creatively innovative paranormal adventure filled with excitement and intrigue. Fianna must make a decision about the three men who want to take her for their own. Fianna must weigh every action and decide what motivates their actions. It is a unique look at vampires and were-animals. Fianna must decide who to trust as plots are made and her life is endangered. There is intrigue and suspense as the decisions are made. The romantic chemistry is present from the very beginning between Gaderian and Fianna. There is violence and explicit sex that helps the reader to know the seriousness of the situation. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly, making for a fast-paced read. The dialogue successfully communicates the thoughts and feelings of the characters. The settings are described in enough details as to make each scene easily visualized. This is an enjoyable read for the uniqueness and intrigue as the vampires war against the Bandergras. I feel readers of paranormal romance will enjoy 'Night Shadows,' by S.A. Martin.
