Jimmy is a bartender, just trying to keep his life together, sort of. He’s been having strange dreams about getting attacked by vampires, but he knows there are no such things as vampires! When he goes to work, he notices a hot (and sexy) stranger staring at him. He decides to give in and have a night of enjoyment and takes him home. His name is Nija, and he is Christian’s third in command of the Coven. This is Book Two of Christian’s Coven and I recommend reading Book One first, though it is not necessary.

Jimmy fights his attraction to Nija, but still ends up at The Manacle (Christian’s bar). Nija knows there is something not quite wrong, but at least a little off about Jimmy. His memory had been wiped clean at least twice by the vampires and yet he still has the memories. Nija has to stay at the bar for a formal gathering, and somehow Jimmy ends up in the bar with a visiting vampire trying to drain him. Wow! This is such an intense story and it never stops!

I love all of Ms. Hagen’s novella’s (and I have read all the Brac Pack Series as well as Zeus’s Pack Series). Having read those two series as well can help with some of the characters who come into play with this story. This is an action packed story, tons of so called ‘monsters’ as well as some very hot, intense love scenes. Jimmy and Nija do manage to get themselves together, they fight their personal (and in Nija’s case professional) demons. I very much enjoyed this story, and I really can’t wait to read Eli’s Way, Book Three of Christian’s Coven!!!!
