| When Aziza Lopez and David Healy meet, they experience lust at first sight. She knows he's off limits because her stepmother is seeing him. When David realizes that Aziza is his mate, he decides to break it off with his lover. However, she becomes a woman scorned and gets her revenge by hitting him with her car, putting him in a coma. Will Aziza be able to awaken him before her stepmother tries to finish the job?
I have to say that I found this book to be a little confusing. The premise of the story was interesting, but once David got hit by the car, the writing became a bit jumbled and the following events didn't make sense to me. There wasn't much chemistry between Aziza and David and the subsequent love scenes didn't seem appropriate. I felt that they should have been focusing on how to awaken him from the coma to lessen the danger he was in. I thought the resolution to the story seemed too easy and convenient. It didn't feel real. My opinion may have been different had there been more focus on the plot. This is my first McKeever story and while I thought it could have been better, I would read another one of her novels.
