Kate McTavish, feeling overwhelmed by her impending wedding, just wanted to get away for a few days. She had not counted on the weather turning bad on her. Almost to her destination she skids on black ice and loses control of her car, sending her over an embankment. Bleeding and stuck in her car in freezing temperatures she is rescued by Dayton Deveraux who takes her into his home and tries to treat her injuries. With the weather making the roads dangerous, Dayton decides that Kate needs to spend the night in his spare bedroom. The next morning Kate awakens naked in a strange bed, not knowing what has occurred the night before. She fears that Dayton has taken advantage of her condition. Before she has the chance to discuss what happened the night before Kate faints and Dayton has to rush her to the hospital. Blind after awakening from a coma and thinking her rescuer has deflowered her, Kate enters into depression. Dayton feels responsible for Kate. Will he have the chance to explain and make things right?

None So Blind that will not see the love that goes unacknowledged between Kate and Dayton. Carol McPhee has written a sweet romance about two people with emotional problems. Kate has never felt loved by her mother, and her father has over-indulged her. She is used to running when things get tough. She is used to acting without thinking. Dayton has been hurt in a past relationship. He is a businessman that is responsible for a business and its employees. He is used to considering all aspects of a situation before acting and then being in control. These two people, that seem so very different, see in each other the things that they need in their life. This is an emotional story of a woman dealing with becoming blind and losing control of her life. The main issue of both characters is trust. They both have to learn to trust. The setting of the story is present day near the shore of Nova Scotia. The author describes in detail the sounds of the ocean and seagulls. The boats on the water, as well as many other sights along the way; making it easy to feel and see what it was Kate was experiencing. The romance is troubled, with neither person wanting to admit they are in love. But we watch as these two people share times together and love grows stronger between the two. My favorite scene in the book is when Dayton describes a rainbow over the ocean for Kate. None So Blind is a beautiful, creative and emotionally stirring book that will leave a smile in your heart.
