| Kate Wylde was assistant director of a marvelous place in California that was filled with her astronomy dreams until her dad died. She felt the need to relocate and help her mom, Janine, maintain her home place in Corinth, Mississippi. She happily lived with her mom and worked at Ron’s Rent-a-Movie. Her closest friend, Sarah James, managed the movie rental store. She had a daughter, Welsy, who was very close to the Wylde women. Life was sometimes boring, but overall Kate was satisfied. She had built herself a conservatory in the backyard and spent hours contemplating the stars.
Dr. Jeremy Grant was a cardiologist who moved to Corinth because he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives in a small-town setting. He was divorced with a daughter who was almost ten. He penned letters to her frequently, telling her all the good things that happened in his life. He would leave out nothing for she needed to know that, while she was far away, he never forgot about having a beautiful daughter. He worked hard, but otherwise lived the life of an almost hermit. These main characters were faced with a myriad of challenges both together and separately. The underlying storyline is suspenseful and intriguing, but I can’t even begin to explain that to you. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t like this story. It is a full length novel with quite a bit of information concerning each of the main, and supporting, cast members. The plot was fabulously written and the words just flowed. I never wanted to put it down. I love to review and usually I read, write my review, and immediately start another. This was not the case here. I was so engrossed that I was incapable of letting it out of my mind. Seldom am I so griped in a novel that I cannot think about anything else. It happened here. And I promise you not a surprise ending, but a shocking one. It’s a great read which I cannot recommend highly enough. You will not be sorry you took time to read it.
