To celebrate her newly divorced status, Kilana spends a night of alcoholic revelry with her two best friends. However, instead of waking up with the mother of all hangovers, Kilana awakens to find a naked, glowing man with antennas floating above her bed. Just as Kilana decides the cutie with pale skin, pointy teeth, a forked tongue is the byproduct of an overactive imagination, she realizes she is tied to her bed! The situation goes from bad to worse when the alien tells her he is hunting humans and that he has every intention of devouring her. Will she be able to escape before "dinner" is served?

I'm glad I had the opportunity to review this unique and well-written book. Ms. Burke managed to weave an imaginative tale that kept me guessing from chapter to chapter. I cannot remember the last time I found a book to be unpredictable, and I was delighted to discover that this one fit the bill. I was scared for the heroine one moment, and envious the next. I enjoyed the interplay between the main characters, and if I had to identify a flaw in this story (if there is one) was that I found the minor characters to be totally unnecessary. How the author managed to put me through a roller-coaster of emotion in under one hundred pages is a mystery, but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride!
